This all started six years ago when I was only five-years-old. Nanny and Pa wanted to do something special for their 70th birthday. Nanny has always wanted to go to the South of France.  Mum and Dad thought that we could build a trip around the two weeks that we would spend in France. Mum took control and made a most wonderful plan. We started planning and now we are only 33 days away from getting on a plane. This is our first overseas trip if you don’t count two trips to New Zealand. We have also travelled in Australia.   Our trip to Europe has not felt real to me until this year. We have watched many YouTube clips and one of our favourites was the channel Wolters’s World.  Wolter is a travel enthusiast who knows everything there is to know about pickpockets, as well as the dos and don’ts in every country are going to. I’m most excited about the Smithsonian Museums in Washington and Pompeii in Rome.  Both places have been on my bucket list for a long time. I am not looking forward to the idea of terrorists and pickpockets.  In Vence, we had booked to stay in the old town wall but unfortunately, squatters took over all five apartments so we were forced to find somewhere else to stay. Thankfully Nanny and Pa came to the rescue and found a cute countryside house a short walk from town with a pool!  Mum says we won’t be swimming!

I can’t wait to get on the plane.
