Mum and Dad came up with a really good plan. We would go to the Paradise pool, the one with all the water slides, so we did. We swam until the sun came out to the pool and headed over to the the lagoon. The Lagoon is a humongous man-made pool which is salty like the sea. Amelia and I wanted to hire something to use on the lagoon. Dad told us that Mum wanted to try stand up paddle boarding. Amelia went up to the kiosk to find some information but she forgot to get the price, so I went up to the kiosk and the man said the price was $41 per hour. We went to go tell Mum the news. She was still lying in the sun on a pool chair drinking her coffee.
She agreed and said we could have a couple more minutes in the pool then we could go hire one. Dad and Mum went up to get one but they had none at the time so we had to wait for 30 mins. We reapplied sunscreen and went for a quick swim to show Mum the fish in the lagoon then went back to the shore. Dad went to get the paddle board with Amelia. Amelia brought the paddle board back over the water and refused to take dad with her and left dad to swim 100 meters back to Mum and I.
Mum went first with me as cargo on the front. Mum adjusted her balance and water started to come over my head. Then it was dads turn. Dad was super stoked to give it a go but he also knew he was not going to be very good so he went as slow as a snail over and back.
Then it was my turn. I had gone stand up paddle boarding before with Kate and Adam and I was so happy to do it again. Steering was my down fall because every time I tried to steer, the water currents got the best of me and I fell off every time. We repeatedly took turns, getting better each time until our hour was up. Then Amelia and I took the paddle board back and then we went to the Tapa bar to have pizza for lunch and then spent the afternoon playing games and drinking smoothies and lemonade.
